Summary

Welcome to the homepage for the UFG, the first ever UK university fighting game league! Partnering with NSE and featuring multiple games, we aim to produce a competitive online environment for university students in the UK, to allow for the development of the scene and its players as a combined body. We will be using this page for all UFG related news, and to host the official league tables for each game of the season!

Last year, we launched our Discord community (now over 350 members!), and began running online events for Street Fighter V, Dragon Ball Fighter Z, Tekken 7, Soul Calibur 6, Smash Ultimate, BlazBlue Cross Tag Battle, Under Night In-Birth and more. Then, at the beginning of 2019, we took our first step up and hosted our own Winter Season split, complete with prizes. This was a great debut for us, as well as a learning experience, and we’re taking this forward into our 2019 Summer Season!

2019 Summer Season - UFGvo!

For our Summer Split, and the runup to EVO 2019, we’ll be hosting weekly online tournaments for 4 of the EVO titles - Super Smash Bros. Ultimate,  Street Fighter V, Tekken 7, and Mortal Kombat 11. We’ll have 3 weeks of tournaments (week commencing 24/06/2019) before a Last Chance Qualifier in Week 4, before the Finals Bracket in Week 5. Each placement will earn you points throughout the season, which determines who qualifies for the Finals Bracket. The winners of each title will receive the prize of a unique UFG Champions Hoodie!

The rest of the EVO titles will still see representation at our Community Night tourneys, which will happen every Monday evening! Consult the schedule for which game is being played each week.

The tournaments for the main 4 games will be open to any and all current students with an NSE account and community nights are open to all members, so good luck! We will bring future updates closer to the time, alongsides the league tables for each game, so check back soon! You can also join our Discord community for more information here:
