Summary

Do you miss the old Overwatch days with broken abilities and 6v6? Well, here is your chance to re-live those good times with the Overwatch Classic 6v6 Cup! This cup will use the limited-time game mode 'Overwatch Classics' to ignite all your memories from Overwatch 1!

RULES SUMMARY

  • All players must be current students or alumni from the same university. 
  • Teams must have at least 6 players.
  • If teams are more than 20 minutes late they will forfeit a map.
  • Teams must Check-in by 12:30pm. 
  • Offensive player and team names are not allowed.
  • Verbal abuse is not allowed. In particular any use of racist, sexist, homophobic or any other discriminatory language will lead disqualification of players involved.

CLASSIC RULES

  • Matches will be played using the OW Classic mode.
    • Lobby Code: JPJZ0
  • Teams will have a single hero limit. Only 1 of each hero may be picked at a time per team.
  • There will be no role lock and teams will be able to use any combination of roles in their team.
  • The following heroes will be available to use:
    • Bastion, Cassidy, D.Va, Genji, Hanzo, Junkrat, Lúcio, Mei, Mercy, Pharah, Reaper, Reinhardt, Roadhog, Soldier: 76, Symmetra, Torbjörn, Tracer, Widowmaker, Winston, Zarya, Zenyatta

Assault: Hanamura / Temple of Anubis / Volskaya Industries
Control: Ilios / Lijiang Tower / Nepal
Escort: Dorado / Route 66 / Watchpoint: Gibraltar
Hybrid: Hollywood / King's Row / Numbani

Best of Three

For best of three matches:

  1. The home team chooses a control map and the away team chooses the side.
  2. For game 2, the loser of the previous map will choose a mode and a map. This map can not be control. The winner of the previous map chooses their starting side.
  3. For game 3 (if needed), the loser of the previous map will choose a mode and a map. This map can not be control or the mode chosen for map 2. The winner of the previous map chooses their starting side.
  4. In the event of a tie in game 3, a fourth game on control will be played. The map from game 1 can not be chosen again.

Best of Five

For best of five matches:

  1. The home team chooses a control map and the away team chooses the side.
  2. For game 2, the loser of the previous map will choose a mode and a map. This mode can not be control. The winner of the previous map chooses their starting side.
  3. For game 3, the loser of the previous map will choose a mode and a map. This mode can not be control or the mode chosen for map 2. The winner of the previous map chooses their starting side.
  4. For game 4 (if needed), the loser of the previous map will choose a map from the final mode that has not been played. The winner of the previous map chooses their starting side.
  5. For game 5 (if needed), an extra game on control will be played, the loser of the previous map will choose the control map. The map from game 1 can not be chosen again. The winner of the previous map chooses their starting side.

Final Schedule will be confirmed once signups close. Depending on signups there will be 4-7 games including finals
