Valorant NSE Spring is split into 2 main stages: Stage 1 Qualification (Weeks 1-3) and Stage 2 Swiss/Playoffs (Weeks 4-7).
Stage 1
In Stage 1 teams will be initially seeded into 3 skill groups. In the first round teams will play another team in the same skill group and in the following rounds be matched versus teams with a similar record in the tournament.
Stage 2
In Stage 2 the top 16 teams will start in the Division 1 bracket (a double elimination bracket) and everyone else will continue playing in a Swiss tournament starting with points based on their finish in Stage 1. Teams who do well in the Swiss can qualify for Division 2 or Division 3.
Live Finals
If you manage to get to the Grand Finals in Division 1, you will be invited to play the match live at Insomnia Gaming Festival.

In addition to other prizes this tournament awards British University Esports Championship Points.

Players are expected to uphold the NSE Code of Conduct whilst competing in this tournament.
All decisions regarding the interpretation and enforcement of these rules are at the sole discretion of the NSE Admin Team, whose decisions are final.
These rules may be amended, changed or supplemented when required by the NSE Admin Team to ensure fair play and competitive integrity.
Game Settings
Pauses and Timeouts
Teams are allowed 2 tactical timeouts each game, 2 per team (1 on each half). This can be done by typing /timeout in the chat, a timeout will be queued for the next buy phase. If teams are having technical issues they may pause during the buy phase to try and fix it. This can be done by using "Pause Match Timer" in the start menu via the cheats tab (with tournament mode on all cheats will be disabled except Pause Match Timer).

All games, with the exception of the Grand Finals, will be played on Monday evening and cannot be rearranged. Each week team will play 2 bo1s or 1 bo3. Games will have a normal start time of 7.15pm, however teams still in the Division 1 Bracket may be expected to play on Sunday 17th March in order to play an extra matches as required.
