We are excited to announce the appointment of NSE's new Managing Director, succeeding Alex Coulson, Tom Dore!

This move follows our previous announcement of the collaboration between NSE and British Esports. This brought together two of the UK’s leading student esports providers to create one of Europe’s largest and most connected student esports ecosystems, driving greater student engagement, improved attendance and developing valuable future-ready skills.

Tom has been a central part of British Esports since 2017, contributing significantly to the organisation’s growth and to the development of esports in the UK. During this time, he has built and maintained strong national and international relationships across esports, education, government and industry.

He will retain a voluntary role at British Esports, helping to ensure close collaboration between British Esports and NSE, and alignment across student and grassroots esports initiatives.

In his new role with NSE, Tom will lead the strategic direction and operations of the company to grow university-level esports - including the British University Esports Championship - whilst strengthening connections across education, industry, and community stakeholders.

NSE Managing Director, Tom Dore, said: "I would like to thank Alex for his leadership and contribution to NSE. Under his guidance, NSE has grown significantly over the last 5 years, expanding participation and delivering high-quality competitive and community experiences for students nationwide. I am very pleased he will still be supporting us in a consultancy role with a focus on commercial strategy and partnerships. Moving forwards, I am excited to work with the team to build on their existing success and lead NSE on the next stage of its development, working with a range of brands and industry stakeholders to create even more opportunities for students to meet, play and compete."
