NSE has joined forces with British Esports to continue supporting grassroots esports across the UK!
Since being established back in 2017, NSE has grown significantly, with a massive 17,800 players competing in the British University Esports Championship last year and many thousands more getting involved in more casual community nights..
Our mission has always been about improving students’ university esports experience, helping them now and in their future careers - this is exactly what working with British Esports is all about.
Esports tournaments lie at the heart of both NSE and British Esports, through the British University Esports Championship and British Esports Student Champs respectively. Both organisations also have a deep focus on supporting students beyond competition, helping them develop skills that will benefit them now and in later life.
Working with British Esports means we will now support the student esports journey, from school and college through into university, meaning we better understand what it is that players really want and need. It will give students more opportunities to participate and compete, as well as chances to get involved with esports in a variety of other ways. We will also have an increased focus on supporting future career pathways, not just in the esports ecosystem, but across digital, creative and STEM industries.
This is an exciting time for us all, with exciting, new opportunities ahead, while of course: the British University Esports Championship and our widespread community activity will continue running as normal!
