Today, NSE and Intel are happy to announce our plans for another year of our long-standing partnership. Intel will continue as the headline partner of the British University Esports Championship and provide support for the university esports and gaming community in the UK.
Intel remains steadfast in its commitment to university students by continuing this valuable partnership for a fifth year into the 2023/2024 academic year.

The British University Esports Championship supported by Intel continued to grow in the 2022/2023 season with a whopping 2,200 teams from 111 universities participating, making NSE the most active grassroots gaming community in the country.
This means all the community initiatives you love are here to stay, such as:
Intel Monthly MVP, which shines a light and rewards students who have demonstrated exceptional prowess and dedication within the university esports community, with 74 students have been nominated by their peers for their remarkable contributions
Intel Event in a Box scheme, where we've provided kits of PCs and peripherals to 18 gaming and esports societies. Societies are given access to ultra-portable gaming PCs - Intel NUCs, along with monitors, peripherals, and accessories, facilitating the organisation of their own tournaments and LAN events without the need to source PCs independently. This initiative has garnered immense popularity amongst the student community, and demand has been through the roof. You will be happy to know that the scheme will be relaunched once the term begins for the 23/24 academic year.

Intel Friday Drop will return and once again run throughout the championship in Winter and Spring seasons, allowing students to win some extra goodies and items like Intel merch, adding an extra layer of excitement to the university esports experience.
Additionally, Intel FutureGen presented by NSE, recognised as an industry-leading early careers talent pipeline for the esports and gaming sectors, continues for another year. The programme celebrates some of the brightest minds in the NSE community, giving them training and development opportunities while connecting them with industry buddies as they seek to develop a career in esports and gaming.
