Intel FutureGen is a leadership programme like no other. Designed and delivered by NSE and ESL, the programme aims to provide exceptional student leaders across the country with the industry access needed to kickstart their careers.

We want to say a huge thanks to everyone that applied. The programme was far more competitive than expected with almost 90 applications submitted. Each submission comprised a 500 word written application supported by a short video in which applicants spoke passionately about what they wanted to get out of the FutureGen programme.

Applications were reviewed over three days and whittled down to a shortlist of just 25. This shortlist was then put forward to a panel of seven industry judges representing different areas of the sector. The Intel FutureGen 2020 panel were:

Jon Tilbury

Managing Director, NSE

Heather Dower
Marketing Director, ESL

Scott Gillingham
Gaming and Esports Lead, Intel

Helena Watson
Senior Publishing Manager, Riot Games

Tom Donegan
Fundraising and Communications Lead, SpecialEffect

Yinsu Collins
Sports and Esports Journalist

Michael ‘Gregan’ Ellis
Team Manager, Team Vitality

After six hours of deliberation at NSE’s head office in Holborn, the judges selected the successful ten candidates. We caught up with them afterwards to find out what made the final selection special for them.

In no particular order, we're thrilled to announce that the inaugural Intel FutureGen cohort of ten are as follows:
