Rough Runner focuses on the fun and enjoyment elements of running via its obstacles. Inspired by TV game shows like Total Wipeout, Gladiators, Takeshi’s Castle and Ninja Warrior, this is the only event that will give you the chance to take on a load of epic obstacles that you’ve only ever seen on screen and always wanted to try!
Please note, as yet we cannot guarentee an exact wave time for SpecilEffect's runners, but you will be racing mid-late morning on Saturday 20 July. Our charity places are offered at a considerable discount to the regular price, at just £40 each (whichever distance you choose).
There are 3 x Distance Options:
5KM
Our entry level run with 10 fantastic obstacles to challenge you. This run is great for first time obstacle course runners or people who are still working up to the 10km. This run is designed to bolster their confidence and instil a love of obstacle courses so they come back for the longer distance events.
10KM
Our most popular run with 5 additional obstacles to the 5km. The 10km is designed to be more challenging in terms of running ability and physical strength. Our focus is still on making sure our Roughians have fun but a good level of fitness is preferable to make it round the full course
15KM
The longest of our three runs and the most challenging with a MASSIVE 20 obstacles. This run is taken on by our fittest Roughians, including our personal trainers, obstacle course fanatics and general fitness enthusiasts. This course will push anyone, and with a finish up the Travelator after a 15km cross-country run it’s not to be taken lightly.
