Get ready for the 10th Esports Varsity between Oxford University and Cambridge University, taking place from 2nd - 3rd April 2023 at the Red Bull Gaming Sphere in Shoreditch! This event is similar to the Oxbridge boat race, but with a thrilling esports twist.
This intense rivalry continues, and it's worth noting that Cambridge won the last Varsity in June 2022. So, Oxford will be looking to take back the title this year with all guns blazing!
The schedule for the event is jam-packed with exciting games and guest speakers, so make sure to mark your calendars.
Day 1: Opening remarks at 9:30 am, followed by Pokemon Showdown at 10 am. At 12:30 pm, we will have a guest speaker, Matt Woods, CEO at AFK. Then, at 1 pm, we will have Smash Bros. Later in the day, we have Valorant at 2 pm and League of Legends at 5 pm.
Day 2: CSGO at 10 am, followed by a guest speaker at 1 pm, Kit Brunswick, Head of Academy and Safeguarding at Guild Esports. Then, we have Overwatch at 2 pm and RL at 5:30 pm, with closing remarks at 6:30 pm.
