Warwick Rocket League Year in Review 2018/19

This review highlights all the best moments from this incredible year.

We wanted to look back on these moments and be able to have one place where everyone could find all the great moments, socials, tournaments, and all the other stuff WRL got up to. If you haven't seen the video yet, check it out below!

Warwick Rocket League is mainly present through a Discord Server. In September 2018, our coordinator at the time, coch_hnrz, created the WRL server and it started off with just 8 people, and there was barely any activity. After a massive influx in Fresher's Week and consistent growth throughout the year, we ended the year with 66 members! That's a 825% increase, helping us field 5 competitive teams in the spring term of NSE, significantly more than the average of around 2.

We have 3 main aims for the upcoming year and "beyond":

• Help grow the Rocket League community as it's not as well known as the other Esports titles
• Provide a place for people to improve (like KappaRoss did, who went from Platinum to Champ 3 in one year)
• Most importantly, beat Coventry University in Varsity again (we aren't working hard 4-nothing, of course)
