Across 101 teams there were 684 battle tags, 80 of these battle tags are incorrect on the NSE website and do not link to an account. From the 604 battle tags that do link to an account, 246 of them were private profiles meaning that I was unable to gain any info apart from level and player icon. The remaining 358 contained 93 profiles that hadn’t placed this season leaving just 265 profiles containing SR data.
So, what do university student play? The answer is everything but also a lot of tank. This may have been caused entirely by how long damage Q times are, but Tank is by far the most played role but, it is worth noting that 60% of accounts that place any role will place all three.
Which role are university students best at? Take this with a large pinch of salt because there are a significant number of other factors that have come with role Q that will feed into this but, damage players are almost universally worse than tank and support. The top 20% of damage SR is over 100 SR lower than the top 20% for tank and support, this trend continues all the way down to plat as the average SR for tank and support are 2932 and 2927 respectively, whereas damage is almost 100 lower at 2830.
How does level effect SR? Long story short, level doesn’t seem to effect how good you can be but instead how bad you can be. You can only play so much overwatch and still be so bad at the game.
Now let’s get into the real stats work. If loot boxes have taught me anything, it is that cosmetics are all that matters, and which cosmetic is more important than profile pics. Here are the most common profile pics:
The profile pic with the highest average SR (and over 3 uses) is the Lego Bastion so make sure to equip that for free SR.
