We're back with another Vita Student Monthly MVP! Alex "SpartanSpy" Kourtellas was nominated for establishing two gaming communities for university students, the University Grand Strategy Community (UGSC) and the University Call of Duty Community (UCDC).
Here's a little more about why Alex was nominated:
"Coordinating across multiple universities requires persistence, communication, and a strong vision, and Alex's consistently demonstrated all three. Whether through organising events, managing communities, supporting student leaders at other institutions, or ensuring new members felt included, they have shown outstanding dedication and initiative. The community he has created now has over 200 students from universities across the UK and continues to go from strength to strength. I believe his contribution to university gaming has been significant, and has personally allowed me to meet students from other universities that share my passion for gaming, who I would never have met if it wasn't for the community he helped to create"
"He has put so much effort and passion into building a community of like minded people to share their hobbies / profession. Its genuinely such a nice thing to see and something I feel we've been lacking recently so hence why I want to put him forward."
"Thanks to Alex's work, I have met many like-minded individuals and have been able to enjoy the game I love to an extent greater than I have felt for many years. The fact that Alex receives no funding for his contributions and is working off pure passion only server to reinforce my opinion that he is deserving of the monthly MVP award."
