February is here and we all know what that means: Easter Eggs hitting the shelves, Valentine’s Day and most importantly, GameBlast!

That’s right, GameBlast is back for 2022 and we’re looking for students and societies to take part in the UK's biggest gaming marathon for SpecialEffect. This year GameBlast will be held between Friday 25th - Sunday 27th February and taking part couldn’t be simpler. Whether you’re an individual, team, society or just a group of mates who want to play games for a good cause, everybody is welcome.

We want to see which society can raise the most money for GameBlast - the society successful will be the winner of February's Socks for Socs, where they will be given a sock drop of Intel and NSE co-branded socks.

There are two ways you can raise money for GameBlast...

JustGiving: https://www.justgiving.com/campaign/NSE2022

To raise money with JustGiving, click the orange "Start fundraising" button to start creating your fundraising page. You’ll be able to have full control over your page and see the standalone donation total for your event, but this will automatically feed into the overall NSE total for the year.

Tiltify: https://tiltify.com/+nse/nse-specialeffect-gameblast-2022

Tiltify works especially well for charity live streams and has lots of features that more confident Twitch users will enjoy.

To set up your Tiltify campaign, follow the link here and click accept to join our official Tiltify team. Once you’ve joined, select “Start Fundraising” here, and under “Campaign Options” choose “Support” and "NSE SpecialEffect Gameblast 2022". You’ll have full control over your page and access to overlays, statistics and the standalone donation total for your event.

We'll also be streaming on the NSE Twitch channel for most of the GameBlast weekend. If you're a society and you'd like to secure a two-hour slot on the NSE channel, please message beedub#8692 on Discord! Slots are first come first serve so be sure to get your requests in quickly.

SpecialEffect also has an incredible Discord community that is filled with GameBlast supporters who are always happy to offer their advice and support. They also have all of the media assets and resources that you could need to make your event as successful as possible.
