If you missed out on catching our Spring BUEC Finals, or you simply need a little refresher, then you're in luck! Here's everything that went down over the weekend...
The British University Esports Championship Spring Finals took place on the 18th and 19th April at Confetti X, Nottingham Trent University. We would like to give a massive thank you to the staff and students at Nottingham Trent University who worked exceptionally hard to produce the broadcast and help manage the finals over the weekend - truly it would not have been possible without them!

2XKO
Alongside our BUEC finals, NSE ran its first ever 2XKO event - Nottingham Knockout! A huge shoutout to Riot Games for sponsoring this event.
Fighting game fans competed in our 2XKO open tournament, live from Confetti X, for their chance to win their share of the £150 prize pool, and the ultimate prize for first place: a custom 2XKO Dual Sense controller.

In the end, Heapski remained undefeated and claimed first place of the Nottingham Knockout tournament.

Day One
On day one, our Open and Women & Non-Binary VALORANT finalists, as well as our League of Legends teams, battled it out to be crowned the winners.
You can check out the VOD here, as well as an overview of the games below!
VALORANT
Our VALORANT BUEC Finals saw the University of Nottingham (Nottingham Archers) go head-to-head against a new contender, the University of Staffordshire (Hagrids Hermiones).
Despite their best efforts (dare I mention the premature celebration...) Staffordshire ultimately fell to Nottingham in a dominating 2-0 fashion.

Women & Non-Binary VALORANT
The reigning champions from the University of Roehampton and the University of Warwick (RoeWick) faced a formidable foe in the joint forces of University College London and University Campus of Esports (Cheese and chapati).
With every single match going to overtime, Roehampton and Warwick ultimately retained their title, just narrowly taking the victory over UCL and UCOE in a 2-1 series.

League of Legends
Regional rivalry was on full display in our League of Legends finals, with Imperial College London (Imperial Esports) battling it out against King's College London (KCL Lions).
An impressive performance from Imperial's substitute toplaner ultimately brought them a 2-0 victory.

Day Two
After an action-packed day one, it was time for our Overwatch, Rainbow Six Siege X and Rocket League finalists to take to the stage to prove their skills.
You can check out the VOD here, as well as an overview of the games below!
Overwatch
Kicking off the Sunday, Imperial College London (Winston is found by a police helicopter) faced the University of Oxford (Oxford Omnics).
It seems Winston found himself in a bit too much trouble as Oxford took the victory - finally, not second place!

Rainbow Six Siege X
The strongest Rainbow Six team NSE has ever seen, the University of the West of England (Gatekeepers) sought to secure yet another championship against the University of Lincoln (Lincoln Swans).
And secure their championship they did, with the University of the West of England beating Lincoln in a near flawless 2-0 series!

Rocket League
Another titan in the university epsorts space, the University of Roehampton (Roehampton Esports) found themselves against the rookies, the University of Liverpool (The scouseshooters).
In an unprecendented upset, Liverpool took the series 5-3, defeating the 5x reigning champions of Roehampton!

Once again, we want to show our love and appreciation for everybody involved in the finals, from the production and broadcast crew to the players and audience. In particular, a huge thank you to our partners, Vita Student & Pot Noodle, without whom we would not be able to put on live events like this.
Thank you all for taking part - keep an eye out for our Summer sign-ups opening in June!
