Rainbow 6 Siege Finals - Leads (University of Leeds) vs lovebros (Loughborough University)
This season, Leads have proven themselves to be the team to beat. With an 11-1 win record, including a 2-0 victory over Lovebros, they have stated they are very confident going into the grand finals.
After three previous top 8s, Lovebros came into this season with high expectations. After a series of early wins in the Championship bracket, they got their first loss against Leads, but they managed to rally quickly and secure a strong 2-0 victory over Swansea to earn their spot in the grand finals.
KCL Lions (King's College London) vs Birmingham Bulls (University of Birmingham)
With university Valorant growing nearly 300% this year, we’ve seen the rise of new teams in the Championship with two new teams qualifying for the finals.
Birmingham Bulls had a rocky start in Stage 1, but have gone on to win every best of three in the latter half of the Championship bracket. They also claimed their revenge on Swansea Academy, a team they previously struggled against in the earlier stage.
KCL Lions have quickly established themselves as one of the strongest teams in university Valorant, with an impressive 15-4 record, including a strong win against last year's Winter Champion, Warwick Dire Wolves.
Portsmouth Paladins (University of Portsmouth) vs Watermelon Waddlers
After winning the Spring Season, Portsmouth Paladins came into this tournament with high expectations, which they have lived up to as the only undefeated team in NSE Winter. With Lukeyboy flexing between DPS and Tank, Portsmouth are the only top team to utilise a 7 man roster swapping between JJpt90 and Nightmare depending on team composition for the map.
Despite being a relatively new team, Watermelon Waddlers have quickly established themselves as one of the strongest teams in NSE. Having beaten Portsmouth Paladins in the Summer Season, they remain confident despite back to back losses in the regular season.
