Achievements
We have launched British University Esports Championship achievements for the platform. One of our main goals is to better preserve the history of university esports and capture the stories written every year. If you visit your team’s page or your university's page you will see your badges which record the previous finishes you have achieved. Here's some of the BUEC Winter ones:
We want to add them for other university competitions too. So far we have added Arrow League and the Fragsoc CS:GO Masters. If you are running an inter-university competition and would like it to be remembered as an achievement get in touch via support@nse.gg.
Platform Patch Notes
After taking feedback from players we’re making a number of upgrades to both the main and tournament platforms to better user experience. Here is a summary of the changes, which are now live:
- Tournament game pages now always show the register button irrespective of the player being logged in.
- When you use the register button on a tournament page to create a team it will now automatically enter that team to that tournament.
- Team rosters are now automatically updated when subs are made on the main NSE platform
Upcoming Patches
In addition to the above changes we have a number of changes in the pipeline which will be pushed live in the coming weeks. These are:
- University names will be displayed along with team names
- Country logos to be replaced by university logos instead
- Ability to add additional game IDs (e.g. Summoner Names, Battlenet IDs for future flexibility of games)
- Improving player display names (no more alphanumeric strings!)
