Summary

We are pleased to announce that we will be holding an Inter-University Pokémon Unite tournament on the 29th July 2022, 7pm BST!

Pokémon Unite is a MOBA game available for free on both the Nintendo Switch and mobile phones where teams of 5 fight against each other in a countdown timer of 10 minutes where the team with the highest score wins at the end. Worried that you do not have your held items at the maximum level or that you have not unlocked enough Pokémon licences? Fret not, we will be playing in tournament mode, where every single Pokémon, battle and held items will be unlocked at its maximum grade.

For this tournament, you will be participating in a team composed of individuals from the same university from the 21/22 academic year, with an allowance of 1-2 substitutes. This tournament will operate in a Double Elimination Bracket, where all teams will begin in the Winners Bracket, and losing teams will be placed in the Loser’s Bracket, where losing will mean that a team is eliminated from the competition. All matches will be best of 1, with the exception of the Winners, Losers and Tournament finals being a best of 3.

This event is ran by students via UK Universities Pokémon Unite discord.
