University Esports Masters Expands for 2021
- Schedule, format, qualifying slots announced for Europe’s premier collegiate League of Legends tournament
- 30 teams from 14 nations across Europe expected to participate
- Total prize pool of 15000€
The University Esports Masters - the premier pan-European League of Legends collegiate tournament - has evolved this year.
With the aim of providing a great experience to university students and allowing more countries and regions to join, the competition format has changed to include a European League which will take place during April and May, and culminates in the UEMasters Finals in July. Up to 30 teams from 14 nations across Europe are expected to participate, competing for a share of a 15000€ prize pool.
From the UK, two top student teams from the Winter term will be entered into the tournament. One qualifying through NSE’s League of Legends tournament, and one through NUEL-run Amazon University Esports tournament.
There will also be a final opportunity after the Spring academic term in which a student team from each country will be able to participate in the “Last Chance Qualifier”, a mini-tournament that will determine the last four participants in the UEMasters Play-offs.
Both NSE and NUEL are incredibly excited to support all three UK teams competing against the best universities from across Europe.
More information will be released as the tournament approaches through the official UEMasters Twitter channel @uemasters.
