On Sunday, the finals of the NARAKA: BLADEPOINT University Invitational took place live at HOST Salford in Manchester.
Players and supporters joined us in the morning to watch the broadcast of the NARAKA: BLADEPOINT World Championships 2022 Group Stages to see how the real pros play the game! Then in the afternoon, the sixteen universities made their way to the PCs in the Gametech lab and played six matches to decide who the final winner was.
Over the six matches, the team from the University of Manchester ended up taking three overall wins and finished top of the points table. An amazing performance from the University of Manchester! The other three matches were won by the University of Warwick, who won one game, and University College London, who won two games.
University College London continued their upward trend from last week! They managed to raise their total kills from 35 last week to an incredible 131, and taking a win from the University of Manchester team is no easy feat. Tremendous improvement from week one where they were in 15th.
Another team that we've seen improve week to week was Durham University. They placed 6th overall which is quite amazing after ending up in 13th in the first week and 11th in the second week.
However the scores don't show everything - we saw some amazing moments from teams from the University of Nottingham, Oxford University, Salford University, and others.
